Review Criterias

Pros The task board, back log reports and the graphical reprentations are just great. Taskboard in particular is among the best I have seen…it is very easy (read quick) to understand, draw inference from and take action with all the right information available at a click (i know i am writing a bit like i am selling it but i really liked it). A basic version (limited functionality) is available for free. Forecast analysis, burndown trending and other reporting/analytics features are good too. Web services API, Excel import/export, inherent LDAP support and integration capabilites are some other positives. And the best thing is that it runs on Window, Mac and Linux.
Cons Scrumworks suffers from the same problem as a lot of other software …too many features means higher price. And again, will you really use all those features. Might not be suitable for small projects or single projects…as there would be a learning curve involved (even though collab has some good tutorials to help you). It also lacks on collaboration and financial tracking features.
Conclusion If you have several projects on which you will use SCRUM and if you like graphical representations, you could go for ScrumWorks…because then only you will be able to justify what you spend on its purchase. However, it is quite worth the money you spend ...esp on the key features that need e.g. taskboard and monitoring. Its compatibility with various platforms and its integration capabilities make it suitable for large organizations using diverse platforms.
